ATRA Holds a Meeting with Participating Companies on TDF Tenth Project Bidding Process
ATRA organized an informative meeting with participating companies regarding clarification for TDF tenth project bidding process, sharing information and replying the participants’ questions and suggestions.
Maulavi Najeebullah Haqani, Acting Minister of Communications and IT, Maulavi Saeed Baraat Shah Agha Nadeem, ATRA Chairman, Deputy Vice-Chairman and representatives for participating companies attended this meeting.
The meeting commenced with recitation of the holy Quraan and then Acting Minister of Communications and IT assured the companies on procurement process transparency for the tenth project and any interventions thereof, and added, “All citizens may take-part for reconstruction and development of the country and Islamic Emirate is committed providing a safe and secure working environment both for the companies and citizens”.
Mufti Najmudding Mullahkehl, ATRA Admin and Finance Vice-Chairman, later gave information to the companies on procurement process of the project and other related issues. Then, the participants raised their questions and the authority senior officials replied to the questions thereto.
It is to mention it that TDF is a development fund for telecommunications, which is allocated and utilized for providing telecom facilities in remote and out of telecom coverage areas of the country. Totally 860 telecom sites have been constructed and installed in different areas of the country, utilizing this fund. Tenth project totally includes 450 telecom sites where 90 sites are announced for open competition bidding in the first phase of the project for five provinces (Kabul, Badakhshan, Zabul, Nooristan and Urzgan). Thus, the deadline for submitting offers is set by 7th February 20123 coinciding 16th of Rajabul Murajab 1444.
