ATRA Board Approves 9 Proposed Projects for Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs

ATRA Board approved 9 proposed projects for Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs in regard with creating computer labs, installing video conference systems, facilitating electronic learning opportunity for religious subjects’ students, connecting religious centers (Madrasas) with internet and connecting broadcasting systems of the Ministry and religious institutions.

These projects are to be implemented in 15 provinces of the country funded by TDF. Execution and implementation work is launched once procurement process is done. Internet facilities would be provided through optical fibre for religious centers and institutions as per suggestion of Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs.

Video conference systems are also installed for the ministry and computer labs would be created for a number of important religious centers and libraries of the ministry.

The meeting organized and led by ATRA Board leadership, Omar Mansoor Ansari ATRA Acting-Chairman, discussed on providing electronic learning opportunity for religious centers, executing key e-government projects for Ministry of Finance and National Statistics Authority and assessing a number of proposed projects. Subsequently, some proposed projects referred to the relevant committees.

It is worth mentioning that equipping religious centers with internet and electronic facilities is amongst the most important priorities of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan that enables students of religious centers of the country connecting and being in contact with the largest religious centers of the world, funded by TDF.
