A Meeting Organized between ATRA and NISPA

A meeting was held between ATRA senior officials and representatives for NISPA and the representatives asked for cooperation in regard to problems exist in technical, service delivery, bidding and financial areas.

Writing down the problems, Mr. Omar Mansoor Ansari, ATRA Acting-Chairman, assured the union in this respect then.

Mr. Ansarai expressed that ATRA has recently taken actions in the telecom sector for regulating economy and market and it is endeavoring to foster competition for providing services and to increase revenues for telecom companies on a proper basis by meeting market demands.

He also stressed that ATRA makes efforts for attracting investment as well as works for telecom leadership and management capacity building.

“ATRA has reduced WiMax license fee 75% lately for providing better services and further the authority is attempting to issue high frequencies to the companies and to better regulate services so that problems are addressed separately and satisfactorily”, said Mr. Ansari.

It was emphasized in the end that such meetings are to be held for decreasing problems following this meeting and ATRA leadership notified ISPs to share all their problems with ATRA through official letters in order to address problems on a separate and satisfactory basis.
